Education Division
The Cleveland County Chamber is one of dozens of community organizations who are working together to improve educational standards and help provide resources where they are needed.  A key division of the Chamber is the Education Division, which includes the JobReady Partnership.  JobReady is an important collaborative effort between the Chamber, Cleveland Community College, Cleveland County Schools, and local businesses and industries.  JobReady promotes workforce development by providing vocational and technical programs to Cleveland County students.  Education also plays a crucial role in attracting business and industry to the county. Workforce development has long been an important issue locally, and the topics workforce development and economic development emerged as the top priorities of nearly 50 community leaders in a recent Chamber survey.   Industry recruitment and economic development becomes a less-daunting task when leaders can boast of a trained and educated workforce. Companies who are considering settling in Cleveland County want to know that there are plenty of qualified applicants for the positions they will have available.  Fortunately, initiatives like the JobReady Partnership are already in place to address the important issue of workforce development.
