Text Box: InterAction Text Box: Although today’s economic climate is not the thriving, exciting, and booming time it once was, there are many reasons to be optimistic.  Yes, the stock market is crazy, the real estate market is uncertain, fuel prices are outrageous.  Yes, it is easy to get discouraged, but there is always a time for moving forward.   While searching through some old files the other day, I ran across a classic philosophical item that reminded me why we must press ahead.  I hope this will encourage you to enjoy what you do, do more of it, and reach for success.  Please read on…   People are unreasonable, illogical and self-centered.    LOVE THEM ANYWAY. If you do good, people will accuse you of selfish ulterior motives.    DO GOOD ANYWAY. If you are successful, you will win false friends and true enemies.    SUCCEED ANYWAY. Honesty and frankness make you more vulnerable.    BE HONEST AND FRANK ANYWAY. The good you do today will be forgotten tomorrow.    DO GOOD ANYWAY. The biggest people with the biggest ideas can be shot down by the smallest people with the smallest minds.    THINK BIG ANYWAY. People favor underdogs but follow only top dogs.    FIGHT FOR SOME UNDERDOGS ANYWAY. What you spend years building may be destroyed overnight.    BUILD ANYWAY. Give the world the best you have and you’ll get kicked in the teeth.    GIVE THE WORLD THE BEST YOU’VE GOT ANYWAY. Steve Padgett 2008 Chamber Chairman
