Text Box: InterAction Text Box:     (Cleveland County, NC) – Leadership Cleveland County celebrates the start of its 20th year in September. The 2008-2009 program year begins with a kickoff event on August 27th. The participants will attend an orientation session to help prepare them for the program. Following the orientation, the participants will attend a reception, to which the nearly 200 alumni of the program are invited.   Leadership Cleveland County is a program sponsored by the Cleveland County Chamber to develop informed, committed, and qualified individuals capable of providing dynamic and progressive leadership for Cleveland County.  It is an in-depth study of personal and group leadership dynamics, involving activities designed to illustrate positive leadership opportunities.   Participation in the program leads to personal and professional development, lasting friendships, and good business contacts.  The John Maxwell book Developing the Leader Within You will be a focus for most of the leadership topics during the 2008-2009 program.  The schedule for the program is as follows:   * Wednesday, August 27 -- 4:00 p.m-6:30 p.m. Kickoff & Orientation * Wednesday, September 10 -- Day Retreat (Topic:  “Influence”) * Wednesday, October 1 -- County History Day (“Priorities”) * Wednesday, November 5 -- Government Day (“Integrity”) * Wednesday, December 3 -- Human Services Day (“Creating Positive Change”) * Wednesday, January 7 -- Healthcare Day (“Problem Solving”) * Wednesday, February 4 -- Education Day (“Attitude”) * Wednesday, March 4 -- Manufacturing Day (“People”) * Wednesday, April 1 -- Small Business Day (“Vision”) * Wednesday, May 6 -- Tourism Day (“Self-Discipline”) * Tuesday, June 3 -- Graduation Celebration (“Staff Development”)   Following the August kickoff, participants will attend a retreat in September.   From September through June, monthly sessions will focus on the history of the county, health care, economic development, small business, human services, government, education, parks and recreation, and more.   The cost of the program is $645 for Chamber members.  The deadline for registration and payment is August 22, 2008.  For more information, contact Stephanie Trogdon at the Chamber at (704) 487-8521.           Text Box:         Advertise with Us!   InterAction is a monthly newsletter that keeps our members and other business professionals up-to-date on what's happening at the Chamber.   Rates: (Banner Position - Right side bar on newsletter home page)   1x $125 2x $110 4x $90 6x $85 12x $65   Rates are per ad based on number of times/months chosen       Featured: Member 2 Member Discount Mike’s Flowers & Gifts 15% discount off of cash and carry only The Gift Shoppe 15% discount off of cash and carry only Mike's Flowers & Gifts 119 N.
