Text Box: InterAction Text Box: Healthcare Services Day Day Chair – Debbie Vaughn January 7th, 2009   What a great day!  Today was health care services day and our day host was Debbie Vaughn.  She planned an excellent paced day.  We met at Hospice of Cleveland County where Myra McGinnis presented us with a very informative program about what Hospice does.  After a tour of the Hospice facilities we scurried off to Care Solutions located across from Cleveland Regional Hospital.  There Anzie Horn and Jane Wright explained what Care Solutions can do for families.  Care Solutions point families in the right direction when they need help with the care of a loved one.  They provide lots of brochures and information to help you plan for their care before a crisis happens.  Next, we toured Cleveland Regional Medical Center.  Pat Aycock presented us with facts and figures about the hospital and then guided us around the beautiful facility.  A delicious lunch was provided by CRMC.  Afterwards we headed to Kings Mountain Hospital where we were taken around the hospital and the staff made us feel very welcome.  Holly Sweat, from Cleveland Community College, led our team building exercise.  She put us on a raft in shark-infested waters and told us to get to the shipping channel where we would be rescued.  This activity made us aware of how important it is to communicate with your team.   Luckily we worked our way to safety without anyone getting eaten by the sharks!  Thanks to all the facilities for the warm welcome and thanks to Holly and Debbie for a very informative and fun day.
