FARS Marketing, Inc. Check Recovery Program

FARS (Federal Automated Check Recovery System) Marketing, Inc. is offering a reduced rate to Chamber members for collecting on bad checks.  A leader in electronic bad check recovery, FARS believes their bad check recovery system will work on behalf of the smallest entrepreneurs right on up to the larger corporate members in their efforts to recovery NSF check payments.

FARS collects 100 percent of the face amount of checks returned for non-sufficient funds and returns the entire amount to the merchant, plus any fees charged by the bank.  FARS states they can recover 75 percent of NSF checks within five to seven days and another 10 percent within the next 20 business days, which adds up to an 85 percent success rate.  FARS will provide special pricing for Chamber members, offering a one-time fee of $49.

EAP Counseling Associates

Members of the Cleveland County Chamber can now take advantage of a special opportunity to offer and provide an additional benefit to their employees.  There is a growing need for mental health-related counseling services and a decreasing number of counseling providers in our area.

Through the cooperative efforts of the Chamber and EAP & Counseling Associates, PLLC, counseling services may be obtained as a benefit for an annual fee of $25 per employee.  This fee covers the employee, spouse, and dependent children for up to five free counseling sessions per person per incident each year.  There are no “co-pay” or additional charges for the employee.  The service is totally confidential and readily available.

Counseling is provided for:  stress; anxiety; panic; marriage difficulties; parenting/child and school problems; depression; anger; substance abuse; or work-related and other mental health issues.
